"The Importance of Celebrating Every Victory, Big or Small"

Date:-8th April 2023

Dear Friend,

Hi! How are you doing? How is your work going? Did you have a busy week? I spent last week lazing around, mostly binging you-tube videos. Check out the latest video of Cloud Fusion TV on YouTube about the ongoing Ai tussle between Microsoft and Google. I found it fascinating. In this week's letter, I will share a small habit of mine with you, which I have followed for the past ten years. A habit of celebrating every victory, even the tiniest wins!!!

Ten years back, when I was 16 years old, an age where you are protected from the harsh realities of life,a time when I was slowly making sense of youth's ability and strength in my head. During those days, my dad used to call me to watch a program called "Yuva," which usually used to air every Sunday morning on a Telugu news channel. It was a student program that usually gave study tips and techniques. I used to watch it reluctantly on my father's insistence. But one fine Sunday, I drew valuable insight from the show.

One speaker in his talk said, "A true winner  is someone who celebrates every victory in his life, even the smallest ones." This stuck with me among all the advice I received in that show. This beautiful practice allows us to value our effort and hard work. Also, a practice that will allow you to pause and appreciate every win of yours, small or big. There have always been moments where I have followed this religiously, it's not that practicing this suddenly changes everything and makes me someone who is always successful nothing like that. It's just a small recognition I keep giving myself whenever I give my 100%.One thing this habit does is to always keep me motivated and encourage me to give my best in every situation.

Whatever might be your age once you sit and look back, has a year passed without difficulties or disappointments? Life has enough challenges to throw at every point in your journey. So, never miss out on an opportunity to treat yourself and, if possible, document it too. I don't want to get into a debate if it's a good thing to plough back in time and flash memories of our dull moments. That's a different topic altogether. I'll write about it separately. I intend to tell you to celebrate every high in your life because, similarly, when you look back, these parts will make you smile :). Celebration need not mean you throw money lavishly every time. It can be a simple walk, talking to someone you love, listening to the song you like ,having your favorite meal,it can be dinner in a five-star hotel costing Rs.10,000 or even a plate of pani puri for Rs10 at the roadside! Just celebrate your wins because you deserve a pat on your back and a smile on your face!

Yours Lovingly
