Just Take a 5 Mins Break

Date:-18th November 2022

Dear Friend,

Hello! how are you doing? I am assuming you had a tremendous week. My week also went well. I am back with another letter, Probably a bit later than usual 😅. Today's letter is a kind of continuation of last week's letter. I didn't want to ramble 📝upon the previous week's letter as it was already going long, so I decided to break it into two parts to keep the; letter concise and short. So coming to the topic, last week I gave reasons as to why I think one should spend some alone time. In today's letter, I will share tips on practising that advice.

Taking time off from day-to-day activities and spending some time for ourselves is a luxury and a privilege in its own way. Our lives are already wired from different directions 🧭 with different issues, so taking time off might feel like an unnecessary waste of time amid those tasks. However, we all deserve this privilege, and we should grant ourselves this luxury as it will equip us to fight our battles better.

Here are a few ideas that helped me turn this time into a fruitful introspective session. Journalling 📓, If there's one habit that made me fall in love with myself & helped me improve my life, that is journalling. Journalling completely changed my life. Journal is my safe place, a good friend 🤝who is ready to listen to whatever I say with full attention. If we go back and read the entries from the beginning, we'll know how much we have changed. I have a podcast show, "The Random Thoughts💭", which is a kind of Audio journal 🎙️where I talk about different aspects of life; these are thoughts I would have otherwise written in my journal (or) the internal dialogue I would have had with myself.

Another thing I usually do when I am alone is Listen to songs 🎧with good lyrics🎼. Songs are the best. Personally, many times, songs helped me understand complex aspects of life in a simple way. The poetic brilliance of the lyricist amuses me every time I listen to a song with depth and meaning. Songs added value to my life; they helped me perceive many things differently. I go for a walk 🚶‍♂️or a 20 min drive 🚴on an empty road while listening to songs. In no way is this an exhaustive list; these are a couple of ideas which rejuvenate me; you can try them, and if you have any other ideas, do share them with me. Okay, that's all for now. I will write to you again next week, stay Happy 😇🤗!!! Bye 👋!!!

Yours Lovingly
