"Finding Joy in Everyday Life: A Letter on Celebrating the Average Days"

Date:-30th November 2022

Dear Friend,

Hello! How are you doing? How did the last week go for you? I am back at my house in Hyderabad. Even though it was a short three-day visit, I missed my room, but I loved visiting my sister. She took good care of me, and I did get emotional. I missed my mother a lot in Pune. In today's letter, I want to talk to you about celebrating and finding joy in the normal days or average days of our life.

I first came across this concept from one of unJaded Jade's videos. However, now when I look back and observe my mother's life, she lived through this principle. She always tried to find happiness in the smallest aspects of life. You-See, only some days are going to be great in our lives. We will not get that 300% salary hike every day, become a CEO every day, or write a best-seller every day. These are fancy events which happen once in a blue moon, and postponing our joy and celebrations only for these might not be the best approach towards happiness. We all are hard-working people fighting our fair share of difficulties in life. We deserve to be happy.

Most of our life around 90% (this is my number) of our life will be filled with average, normal working days. If we say, I'll be happy when I get a raise that's again 1 day in 365 days of the year. As soon as the day ends, we are back to our average routine life, and the new raise will become a part of our routine.

Being happy should never be tied to an uncertain event happening in some distant future. We should find joy in little things like eating out at our favourite restaurants, watching movies, working on our hobbies, and talking to our loved ones. These things break the monotony of our life and make our day special. My mom used to feel extremely happy if she had Masala Dosa at her favorite restaurant. You know these things will happen for sure as you are in control of it, so try to find happiness in these things as well. Don't just wait for those big events which are supposed to happen in future. You are going to be happy in those moments anyway. Don't get me wrong, You deserve all the success but don't plan to be happy in installments. That's all I had. I'll write to you again next week! Keep that smile on! Bye!

Yours Lovingly
